Iceland, ca poutre!
Iceland, what an amazing place, beautiful and spectacular!
When we arrived in Reykavik the weather was nice and we took a bus to the to the smallest airport ever to fly on to Akureyri in the northern part of Iceland for the wedding.
This baby took us there (the plane not the the girl!)
We had time to help prepair the food and the weather stayed nice so they could hold the ceremeny in the garden! Afterwards we had a nice party and danced in to the night. Congratulations Marzia and Asì!
After the wedding we packed ourselfs into a minivan and took a very scenic route from the north of Iceland back to Reykavik and we styed a night in a cabin near Hvalfjördur (The Whalefjord)
We passed by the largest hot water spring in the world, 180 liters per second!! Though it did smell a bit from the sulfer (in other world it smell fart), or was it you Asi...?
Seeing the ground boiling over is quite unreal. In fact in Iceland they don't need to heat any water, they simple cool it down :) Well in Reykavik we had time to take a bath in the blue lagoon where they mix hot spring water with water from the sea, it's located right in the middle of a lavarock wasteland. It was really sun I got quite a sunburn...
We also had some sightseeing of Reykavik.
They have a very cool new concerthouse in Reykavik
We will definetly go back to iceland for some longer time and do some trekking and riding the horses, now we leave for JFK, New York City here we come, à plus!
