MIDSOMMAR!
The shortest night of the year!
The tradition wants that folks build a midsommar man named "maypole" alias midsommarstång, the girls wear flowers in their hair and everyone dance around the "maypole", sing, play game, eat "sills" (herring) and have fun all night!
First a nice house, close to the water with a BIG garden
Then the midsommarstång
..the flowers in the hair
Two special guests from Milan!!
And another picture one of myself (yes indeed, I am so proud of my midsommar crown)
You can also notice the others guests dancing behind me
It was raining later this night, so we decide not the give up with the Swedish weather and keep celebrating midsommar all along the week-end, and hopefully, we had a GREAT t° on Sunday, perfect to go and chill' in one of the island in the archipelago. This time, we went to Björnö
Exactly! Hey the french readers, remember in "La bonne paye" this case named "dimanche ensoleillé"?
Ahah, 3 chicks' for 1 guy (he's taking the picture), jalous?
I am so glad to have this kind of place only 45min by bus from home.. and still so much to discover.
The SUMMER finally arrived in Sweden!! I spent the last 3 days in swimming-suit! Don't want to take it off, never knows how long gonna last.. HophOp in the water :)
Next time, I gonna keep going with the swedish traditions and tell you more about the traditional summer games, the traditional songs and dances, ...
Ha en trevlig midsommar tid! (have a nice midsommer)
